Lab Results & Certification
We believe you should never have to take a supplement company's word for it. Here's the proof.
Why Lab Testing Matters
The Shilajit market is, frankly, a mess. Studies have found that a significant percentage of Shilajit products on the market contain heavy metal contamination, fillers, or are not authentic Shilajit at all. When you're putting something in your body, "trust us" isn't good enough.
That's why every batch of Black Gold Shilajit is independently tested by a certified third-party laboratory. We test for:
Heavy Metals Analysis
The most critical safety test. Shilajit is a mineral resin, which means it can naturally contain trace amounts of heavy metals. We ensure every batch is well within safe limits.
| Metal | Safe Limit | Our Result | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lead (Pb) | < 10 mg/kg | 0.067 mg/kg | ✓ PASS |
| Mercury (Hg) | < 1 mg/kg | < 0.1 mg/kg (BLQ) | ✓ PASS |
| Arsenic (As) | < 3 mg/kg | 0.125 mg/kg | ✓ PASS |
| Cadmium (Cd) | < 0.3 mg/kg | < 0.1 mg/kg (BLQ) | ✓ PASS |
BLQ = Below Limit of Quantification — the amount is so low it cannot be measured by the testing equipment. All results well within internationally recognised safe limits.
Fulvic Acid Content
Fulvic acid is one of the key bioactive compounds in Shilajit, responsible for enhanced nutrient absorption and cellular energy support. High-quality Shilajit typically contains 40–70% fulvic acid. Our batch tested well above the premium threshold:
75.81%
Fulvic Acid Content
Microbial Safety
We test for bacteria, yeast, mould, and specific pathogens to ensure every jar is safe for consumption.

How to Verify at Home
We encourage you to test your Black Gold Shilajit yourself. Here are four simple authenticity tests:
- The Dissolve Test: Place a small amount in warm water. Authentic Shilajit will dissolve completely, turning the water dark golden-brown with no residue.
- The Alcohol Test: Place a small amount in alcohol (rubbing alcohol works). Authentic Shilajit will NOT dissolve — it will remain as a clump.
- The Flame Test: Hold a small piece to a flame. Real Shilajit will not burn or produce a flame. It will bubble and expand, leaving behind an ash-like residue.
- The Temperature Test: Genuine Shilajit resin softens and becomes sticky when warm (between your fingers) and becomes hard and brittle when cold (put it in the fridge).
Our Authenticity Guarantee: If your Black Gold Shilajit fails any of these authenticity tests, we will issue a full refund — no questions asked. We stand behind the purity of every jar we sell.
